Horchata Club — Dailies Volume 1: Immersive Covers
A collaboration with Ben Davis and Ian Latchmansingh. A series of Instagram reels designed to play with the interaction of typography, 3D elements, and sound to create immersive, fictional book covers and movie posters. I set a 1 hour time constraint for each entry to challenge myself towards “done” over “perfect”. I sourced sounds using my iPhone and sometimes the Macbook Pro laptop microphone, and heavily processed using mostly stock Ableton plugins and a small number of 3rd party plugins.

About Me
When I’m not making music I’m building digital products. Currently, I’m a Staff Product Designer at Squarespace where I lead design for projects across the Domain management and internal tooling space.
Hi I’m Carlos. I’m a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and sound designer based in Atlanta, GA. I’ve been playing instruments in bands and recording a variety of genres of music for decades. My work has been featured on NPR, Nylon Magazine, and various internet publications. I’ve released multiple LPs, EPs, singles, remixes, and have performed live across the globe under a handful of aliases and musical collaborations.
